Dual Use Centres

OGMORE DUAL USE CENTRE

Ogmore Dual Use Centre is based at Ogmore Comprehensive School. The facilities have undergone significant investment via the Big Lottery Fund. The investment has created a new artificial turf pitch, dance studio and a refurbished sports hall with male & female changing areas. One of the key aims of the new facilities is to create opportunities that encourage more girls to be involved in sport and to support the school in the improvement of its programme of P.E. and school sport.

PENCOED DUAL USE CENTRE

Pencoed Youth Sport Centre is based at Pencoed Comprehensive School and has benefited from 3 phases of sports lottery funding. The site has a full sized artificial turf sports pitch, floodlit multi-sport court, sports hall, trampoline hall and gymnastic centre. The site is well used by community sports clubs in a broad range of activities. It also hosts Centres of Development that aim to develop the skills of young athletes with potential. One of the main functions of the site has been to develop Coach Education programmes to increase the numbers of sports coaches and leaders throughout the County Borough.

PORTHCAWL DUAL USE CENTRE

Porthcawl Community Sports Hall is based at Porthcawl Comprehensive School and available for community use during evenings, weekends and school holidays. The hall is equipped to offer a range of activities including football, cricket, netball, basketball, badminton and other sports. The facility is well used by community sports clubs and associations. The school has additional facilities that are self managed for the benefit of the community. These include an artificial sports pitch, gymnasium and indoor swimming pool.
