The Sports Aid Programme - Sportlot Capital Programme

The Sportlot Capital Programme distributes funding to improve equipment and sports venues within Wales with a value in excess of £5,000.
Eligible Expenditure
Multi-sports areas, pitch drainage schemes, non-personal equipment, floodlighting, changing facilities and club venues, other items identified with the schedule.

Application Process
Application Forms and guidance notes are available via the Sports Council for Wales. To access these forms an initial project summary needs to be completed by the applicant, also available from the Sports Council. The Sports Council operates both regional and national decision making panels. The cost of the project will determine which panel evaluates the application. A 2-stage process is in place. Approval of the concept of your project, anticipated costs and sports development benefits will be required before progressing to stage 2. Applicants will generally be expected to have, or be capable or raising, 30% of total costs (exceptions can sometimes be made for areas of high deprivation as part of the Sports Council's social Inclusion Challenge Programme).
