The Sports Extra Programme

Youth Service Programme

The Youth Service is a universal service, providing opportunities for all young people. The diversity of the activities is a unique strength of the service and its diversity appeals to the broadest spectrum of young people. The service provides a broad assortment of sporting activities working in partnership with the Sports Development department, jointly providing relevant, innovative formal and informal sporting and outdoor educational activities. Many of the sporting projects target young people who are at risk of becoming involved in crime or drug abuse and are excluded from mainstream education. Staff are committed to providing these opportunities to young people whatever their background.
